Saturday Jazz
Saturday, 19 July, 4.30 – 5.30 pm
library@esplanade

Jazz is largely introduced by the African American community in the Southern United States in the beginning of the 20th century. From ragtime
to swing, Bebop to fusion, jazz has shaped a great part of America’s 20th century history. Need more proof? Check out The Great Gatsby,
F. Scott Fitzgerald’s masterpiece that chronicles the “Jazz Age” where the riches and glamour clashes uncomfortably with the unrestrained
materialism and lack of morality.

To jazz up your Saturday, we invite you to join us for a performance by Ryan and his buddies from U.R.S Connextion. Don’t forget to check
out our collections from the American Embassy as well!
