Singers with dreams glow. It doesn't matter what sorta dreams. To be a star, a singer, a DJ, or just be great at what you do in the corporate world,... or the company karaoke contest that you're eyeing at... It is ALL GOOD.
A world with music that has no boundaries would be a place like heaven.
And, guess what, it is possible.
If you hold your dream in your hand, look at it, and ask yourself what you know and feel about it, you'd recall some of the reasons why you wanted to sing, or play a certain instrument or dance ... in the first place.
It isn't ONLY what it WOULD bring you, but what it ALREADY has.
That we love what we do, and have a chance at it is terribly oversighted in our ambitions to be better.
Better is good. But what we already have, is better!
Hmm... got that?
-----------------
People in Somalia have it bad.
People in Singapore have it bad too.
What do they have in common?
A lack.
There IS satire in this, but truthfully, they are not without similarities.
Let's just get off the moral preachings, and get to the evidenciary.
People die of a lack of food.
People still die of a lack of food for the soul.
What good is flesh without dreams? Or dreams without flesh?
It is not for us to be a judge of fairness, but what we have, we withhold not just by clutching it hard. But with deep appreciation and a passion for what it is, we sing, we play, we dance, we perform.
We are blessed with music, and music, with love, we make.
