German Pop feature: Annett Loisan.
I fell in love with her voice the minute i heard her voice on Genevieve's mp3 player. Thanks Gen for sharing such wonderful music. There just is no end to creativity in music, is there? I couldn't quite nail the genre possibly 'cause the latest most popular genre must be no genre. It's great when artists push boundaries and create.
Annett's tone as well as vocal stylings bear resemblance to Lisa Ekdahl and Vanessa Paradis. But her music is one of a kind. I'm reminded of Miss Li, our previous recommended listen. There are elements of jazz, and rag, but it challenges the genre with characteristics of pop, leaning on folk and alternative.
I'm so in love with the pomposity in the brass arrangement in Die erhliche Haut. It's hilarious. Love it. :)
Thanks to Wikipedia:
