Change.

Our current students are entitled to waiver from a deposit from taking a 2nd music course. However, this waiver will be removed in July/August 2007.

So snap up this golden opportunity now before it's poofed!

-------------------------------

Very often in music, be it singing, playing or performing we reach a sorta plateau or 瓶颈 in our musical progress, and then we lose focus on why and what we wanted outta this craft.

And often, it is because of a form of security, a wall that we create whether it be our lazy genes, mr. ego, or somethin'... we just stagnate.

Here's something from a CD Sleeve that caught my eye. It says so much about our human psyche:

The beauty of uncertainty is that it motivates us to seek creativity. We are compelled to replace doubt with conviction, to replace confusion with clarity, to be more fearful of old ideas instead of new ones. ... The artist, scientist, entrepreneur, athlete, traveler: all embrace uncertainty as their muse. ... The thrill of anticipation, the mystery of the unknown, the open road, mistakes as portals of discovery, the inevitability of change, purpose from chaos, questions leading to answers, failure as the threshold of knowledge. All these conditions form the life of the adventurer, the human being who is engaged in becoming. ... Allows us the strength to deal with the freedom to choose. ... Nothing moves forward except by the craving to seek certainty from uncertainty.

And isn't it wonderful to know that this wonderful gift is what makes performance so exciting each and every time?

The one day that we stop wanting to perform, would be the day we have stagnated. And God help us that we may find grace in the gift of change and uncertainty.

Never fear the fear of inadequacy. That famous 'room' for improvement is not a myth.
